PLANT-BASED (SERIOUS) MOISTURE REPAIR
SMOOTH. PLUMP. HYDRATE. REPLENISH.
This nourishing, long-lasting moisturizer delivers results with 3 powerful plant-based rejuvenating compounds: Tamarind Seed Gum, Hexapeptide -48 HCL (from Spinach) and Hydrolyzed Oat Protein with Niacinamide. Clinically tested to target the specific problems of thinning skin, fine lines and dehydration. Locks in moisture from the inside out, improving elasticity while thickening skin and plumping fine lines.
Face Crème night supports the acid mantle of the skin. It has been evaluated by an independent lab and has been shown to lower the pH value of the skin after 3 weeks usage. Translation: Face Crème Night raises the acid level. With increasing age, the skin’s pH becomes less acidic, and thus more susceptible to bacterial growth. This reduced acidity kills fewer bacteria than before, leaving the skin susceptible to bacterial growth and infections. The skin weakens as a result and begins developing problems with increasing age. Face Crème Night has a pH rating of 4.94-5.05. It has been shown to increase the skin hydration level within 1 to 3 hours after application and was found to increase the skin elasticity level within 3 weeks after application.
Developed for dry complexions with lustrous oils of Meadowfoam, Rosehip and Plum. Soothe skin after exposure to the elements. Unisex, Ph balanced and dermatologist tested. Formulated for night. Perfect anytime.
"The Jao Face Crème might well be the best moisturizer I have used since switching to green beauty." – The Hermes Hippie
Jao Face Crème repairs skin with Hydrolyzed Oat Protein to stimulate the skin’s barrier protein synthesis, thereby reducing skin roughness and appearance of wrinkle depth. Tamarind Seed Gum forms a hydrocolloid film on the skin which protects it against water loss, making the skin’s surface supple and improving elasticity. Hexapeptide -48 HCL normalizes the skin’s barrier to restructure mature skin’s surface for a smoother look.
Jao Face Crème contains Plum Oil, an oleic oil with high moisturizing properties. Additional ingredients include Olive Oil Squalane, Shea Butter and Panthenol (Vitamin B5), as well as oils of Meadowfoam, Rosehip, Chamomile and Calendula. Meadowfoam contains naturally occurring tocopherols. Rosehip is high in Vitamins E and A. Chamomile and Calendula oils restore balance to the skin.

Because we only use essential oils and not synthetic fragrance, you might notice a slight fragrance variation from batch to batch. This is because the essential oils are made from plants and each growing season there are changes due to weather, moisture and sun.
Why is there some oil at the top when I opened the tube?
In crafting a Face Crème for Night, with 21% of oils, including Plum, Meadowfoam, and Rosehips, we can not guarantee that some of the oil might migrate out of the formula, and accumulate around the opening at the top. Because we chose not to use synthetic emulsifying waxes, which have a higher melting point, and instead used natural ones made from olives, the melting point is lowered. In shipping in the summer months, or depending where it is kept, you might find some oil at the top of your product when you first use it. This should not adversely effect the product in any way. You can spread the oil with clean fingertips on your face. Pat dry, and then apply the creme.
Why are there glycols in the Face Créme Night?
We have done everything we can to make our product as natural as possible, while also being able to be safe, and effective. We chose to use 3 active ingredients that are proven to have anti aging effects on the skin. Two of these ingredients, Unitamuron (from the Tamarind Seed) and Uniprosyn PS-18 (from Hydrolyzed Oat Protein) are formulated with glycols as part of these compounds, as the glycol molecules allow the active ingredients to penetrate the substrate of the skin, and also act as a preservative. The percentage of glycol in our formula is 1%. All Glycols are not created equal. We are not using Polyethylene Glycol which has had more negatives associated with it. The consumer advocacy group Environmental Working Group (EWG), with no affiliation to any industry, companies, or organization rates Butylene Glycol as 0 on its health concern scale (0=10 Scale). This means zero effect on the skin.
